We are a lifelong family from Nerja: the Rodríguez-Herrero family. Generation after generation, we have stayed close to our roots, watching this small Andalusian town between the sea and the mountains evolve without losing its essence.
The building where El Jazmín del Patio stands today has always been a house full of life. At the beginning of the 20th century, it was both a home and a business: on the ground floor, facing the street, our grandfather Antonio ran a fabric shop that became one of the first and most well-known in Nerja.
On the upper floor, as a complementary business, our grandmother Pilar also began welcoming some of the first summer visitors who came to Nerja in the 1960s. Year after year, families returned and found their holiday home here, at number 50 Calle Pintada.

Con el paso del tiempo la casa quedó en silencio, pero nunca perdió su alma ni el recuerdo del gran patio trasero donde crecimos hijos y nietos, jugando junto a un gran jazmín que llenaba el aire con su fragancia delicada.
En 2019 empezamos a soñar con devolverle la vida, y en 2025 ese sueño se hace realidad. El Jazmín del Patio abre sus puertas como alojamiento turístico familiar, recuperando su antigua vocación de acoger a quienes llegan de paso, ahora convertida en un espacio para descansar, disfrutar y sentirse en casa.
El edificio mantiene el espíritu de las casas de pueblo andaluz: un patio central que llena de luz los apartamentos, baldosas hidráulicas inspiradas en la tradición y un patio trasero con piscina y jazmines. Todo ha sido diseñado con mimo, combinando raíces y confort.
Al frente del proyecto está Cristina, una de las nietas, que ya regentó aquí la tienda familiar y ha cuidado cada detalle, desde la demolición de las ruinas hasta la apertura de esta nueva casa que une historia y futuro.
Queremos que, al cruzar nuestro portón, sientas lo mismo que sentimos nosotros: la calma del patio, el aroma del jazmín y la hospitalidad sincera de nuestra tierra.
